Most wrinkle creams all contain vitamin A. Naturally, all products claim to smooth away wrinkles. Many of these products are deceptive and want you to believe they work when they don’t. Some wrinkle removing creams include little tiny pieces of glitter. Glitter is used because it reflects light out of the wrinkles. This gives the illusion that your wrinkles have completely disappeared. But of course, you wash your face and you will also wash away the new, youthful look of your skin.

If you are really into anti-aging creams, you should know all about vitamin A. Vitamin A also goes by the name retinol. Wrinkles will disappear with regular use. This process can take a few days or even a week or two. Do not fear though. You will see a difference.

Retinol causes skin to stay elastic. Moreover, when using skin care products that contain retinol you skin will retain moisture. And it even may be used to “plump” wrinkles so they stretch tight and smooth.

However, retinol also has some associated complications that you need to be aware of. The biggest is sun sensitivity. Whether you are taking vitamin A or using it topically, it can make you extremely sensitive to the sun. If you go out for very long on a sunny day you can get burned. Of course, if you are worried about fighting wrinkles then you have no business outside without a sunblock on your face anyway!

Plus, if you have really sensitive skin, retinol can create some problems. Some of the more common effects of vitamin A (besides being a wrinkle fighter) can be breakouts and/or dry skin. This will only happen if you overdo the vitamin A treatments. Test your vitamin A product on the inside of your elbow first, if you are anxious about using it. You can place a small bit there twice a day for around a week. If you don’t have redness or swelling then you will be just fine. To make sure that you are in good shape, just pay attention to the way you skin is feeling and looking.

Last but not least, my final warning. Follow the directions! You must not use vitamin A if you just want to rub on any old moisturizer to protect your skin. It is for people who don’t play around when it comes to beauty. Vitamin A can completely get rid of wrinkles, usually, so make sure you are using it the correct way.

Why Green Tea is Essential to Skin Care

Green tea is so good for you. It is true. A researcher recently did a study that involved exposing hundreds of minnows to highly radioactive substances. You would have thought they would all get cancer and die. However, they stayed alive. How did they stay alive? They didn’t live in, instead they were in green tea.

You may not like the fact that they hit little minnows with radioactive substances. Most people probably do not like this. But, you really have to like the results. I’m going to start drinking gallons of green tea a day or I might bathe in it.

More and more people are becoming aware of the restorative powers of green tea. As a result, the products containing green tea and green tea extracts are everywhere. You can get candies, sodas and even coffee with green tea infusions. That is just in addition to the numerous products that have green tea extracts in them.

But, in spite of all the craze over green tea, there is one area that hasn’t caught on. The skin care arena. Manufacturers seem to be all talk and no action. But what consumers don’t understand is that the things that make green tea wonderful for your body and insides also makes it great for your skin.

Green tea is loaded with anti-oxidants. When you drink it, the antioxidants will do many things, like boosting your immune system. However, when you rub it on your face, those anti-oxidants immediately start defending your exterior as well.

Anti-oxidants are so good for your face and skin. For example, they will fight off free radicals. Free radicals float in the air and will launch an all out assault on your skin which will cause wrinkles. Skin cells can actually slowly become cancerous after they have been over exposed to free radicals.

But, green tea skin care can do much more. When green tea extracts are used in your natural skin care regimen, they will revitalize your skin. They will put inflammation at bay and will help with any skin problems caused by the environment or because of the wrong skin care products. You will be doing yourself a favor by adding a green tea product to your skincare regimen. Adding green tea products to your personal skincare program will make you very happy.
